Overview of Our IN-HOME Programs
First, a quick word about our programs...
El Paso Family Mentoring and Counseling Services is an ADHS licensed counseling facility that provides Outpatient Home-Based and Community-Based services. We service the General Mental Health Community, aged 5 to 65+, in Maricopa, Pima, Gila, and Pinal Counties!

Family System Based Assessments:
When doing an assessment for an identified client we look at the whole Bio-Social environment. Our assessment is comprehensive, sometimes requiring multiple steps, meaning, we are not only assessing the identified client but also the entire family and community system, recognizing that each is an integral component of the individual’s healing, growth, and development.
Crisis Hospitalization Follow-up:
With the goal to reduce substance use, self-harming behaviors, crisis utilization and hospitalization, our Crisis Hospitalization Follow-up provides one-on-one, individual support to help the client in the areas causing them distress.
This counseling program helps both Adolescents and Adults who have:
- Frequent hospital/crisis utilization
- Issues applying coping skills when they return home
- Complicated home environments
Chronic Pain:
Our Chronic Pain Counseling Program is designed to help adults that are experiencing:
- Persistent chronic pain
- Pain that a medical doctor is unable to treat with traditional/mechanical medical practices
- Pain that a medical doctor believes is increased or caused by psychological factors
- Pain brought on through the misuse of pain medications
- Limited or reduced daily activities due to their pain
Ongoing Health Concerns:
This counseling program is specifically tailored to minimize the ongoing health concerns of Adults that:
- Have persistent medical or health problems
- Feel overwhelmed with current health concerns
- Struggle with maintaining health due to missed medical appointments, poor follow-up or just a large number of appointments
- Have limited or reduced daily activities due to health concerns
In this program, we closely coordinate with the client's medical doctor, specialist and/or all medical providers the client is seeing. This is done to increase the following:
- Stress management
- Meaningful life activities
- Ability to maintain appointments and obtain proper medical follow-up
